Opera Rara 2012 – we already know the programme of the fourth edition!

Concert versions of two operas by Antonio Vivaldi: Catone in Utica and Tito Manlio, Giulio Cesare in Egitto by George Frideric Handel and La fede ne’ tradimenti by Attilio Ariosti – these are four titles planned for the year 2012 in the fourth edition of the Opera Rara cycle.
Concerts at St Martin's

Concerts in St Martin's Church, organised by the Polish Bach Society, are held once a month. The performers playng at St Martin's are renowned artists as well as by the standing out students of the Academy of Music in Kraków.
Kraków Philharmonic: February

In February 2012 a lot of piano music again: Nikolay Khozyainov, Krzysztof Jabłoński, Piotr Różański, or even a piano duo! For a change: cello of Marcin Zdunik and an evening of early music.
The Winter Journey

Winterreise is a cycle of 24 poems by Wilhelm Müller, set for voice and piano by Franz Schubert. He used Müller's poems, for they corresponded with the composer's state of mind. Never before and no where else had Schubert's music sounded so sadly as in the Winter Journey...
